Truss Prefab Design-Sales Technician

Established, local truss company with a solid record of service to local customers is looking for an experienced truss designer with proven design capabilities. This is a design + sales position with a base pay and a supplemental incentive for incremental sales performance.

We are looking for:

• Two to three years of truss design experience with some exposure to wall panels design.
• Proven ability to read and analyze blueprints and efficiently establish customer requirements for design and construction.
• Proven ability to work with standard industry design software (ideally MiTek Sapphire) to prepare materials for quotes, produce shop drawings, and assemble all required information for production.
• A proven track record in design with an eye for accuracy and an ability to work with customers
  to meet their end user needs, meet all codes and standards and add value by eliminating issues as early as possible in the design, manufacture, installation cycle.
• Experience in either a technical sales support or customer service role, using your superior communication skills primarily by phone and some online resources.
• Strong knowledge of standard rough framing practices, codes and building standards, including usage of engineered wood products, prefabricated components and related hardware.
• A reputation for being organized, professional and reliable with a team player attitude.
